Few things I like more than an after-dark bike ride and some old cars.
For the first time in my years of going to the Thunder Over Michigan airshow I stayed in Ypsilanti instead of driving home after the show. Turns out it’s a great little town with some historic buildings and a lot of character.
During an unseasonably warm weekend in February my buddy Dan asked if I wanted to go up and do some aerial photography practice before our schedules got busy in the spring and summer. There’s not much that will stop me from saying yes to shooting out the open side of his kit Piper J-3 Cub replica.
We ended up circling Exeter before flying over to Hensall, Dashwood, and the Port Blake shoreline before landing at dusk. It was a lot colder than I expected, but still a great time.
Took the long way home from my brother’s house and stopped at a greenhouse that would make Denis Villeneuve proud, a long-lost corner store, and a few lit up signs.
