Fujicolor 200

Throughout November and into early December I was putting my Nikon FE through its paces with a roll and a half of 36 exposure Fujicolor 200 and a gently used Nikkor 50mm 1.8 lens.

Pretty early on some shutter issues began to come up that meant losing half a roll of film. Once I got a few things about it figured out, the rest of the second roll went through smoothly.

I mostly took photos around my house, but plan on branching out over the Christmas holidays and into the new year!

Nikon FE First Roll

A few weeks ago I bought a Nikon FE off a guy in Waterloo and started messing around with some film photography.

I’ve always used digital cameras, so it was pretty fun to try something familiar but new. My first roll was 24 exposures of Kodak Gold 200 shot through a Minolta 70-210 with a not great Minolta to Nikon adapter. The end result are pretty blurry, and the local place that developed the film scratched the negatives, but the colours alone are enough to keep me coming back.

Shortly after getting that roll developed I found a 50mm 1.8 lens in Toronto and am now working my way through a roll of Fuji 200.
